Honor Turbo 5G Launches With 3-Day Battery and Super-Bright OLED Screen

Honor Turbo 5G

Honor has officially released the Honor Turbo 5G, confirming a lot of the specs that had been seen before in shop listings.

The new smartphone features lengthy battery life, durability and a high-quality display. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset, with a 120Hz AMOLED display, 80W quick charging and a huge silicon-carbon battery.

Display and Design

The Honor Turbo 5G sports a 6.79-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution (2640 × 1200 pixels) and 120Hz refresh rate.

Honor says the panel can reach a peak brightness of 6,000 nits and supports DCI-P3 colours. It also features 3840Hz PWM dimming to assist in eliminating flicker, and has narrow 1.3mm bezels.

The phone measures about 161.9 x 76.1 x 7.76mm and weighs 196 grams. It is available in Beige, Green and Black colours.

Another important characteristic is durability. The device comes with IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K classifications for dust and water resistance. Honor also says the phone can survive drops from up to 2.5 meters.

Performance & Software

Honor Turbo 5G is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 4nm CPU.

The octa-core chipset packs one Cortex-A720 core at 2.3GHz, three Cortex-A720 cores at 2.2GHz and four Cortex-A520 cores at 1.8GHz. As for graphics, there is the Adreno 810 GPU.

The phone has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It runs MagicOS 10 based on Android 16.

It also boasts NFC, dual speakers and an in-display fingerprint scanner. Honor says the speakers can go up to 400% volume in supported scenarios.

Camera Specs

The Honor Turbo 5G boasts a Dual Camera System on the back for Photography.

It is equipped with a 50MP main camera and a 5MP ultra-wide camera. The 16MP front camera takes selfies and handles video calls.

Honor has also introduced various AI-based photography features, including AI Eraser, AI Reflection Removal, AI Upscale, AI Silhouette, and an AI feature that can open closed eyelids in group photos.

High-capacity Battery & Rapid Charging

One of the greatest selling points of the phone is the 8,560mAh silicon-carbon battery.

The battery also allows reverse wired charging, so that the phone can charge other compatible devices, and is compatible with 80W Honor SuperCharge.

Honor says that the battery can last more than three days of ordinary use. The company also claimed it can retain useable capacity after about 1,000 full charging cycles.

Pricing and Availability

The Honor Turbo 5G is available in Russia for roughly $411 for the 8GB RAM, 256GB storage option.

The phone design seems similar to the Honor X80 Pro Max, although both phones have different internal hardware. This means the Turbo 5G isn’t just a rebranded version of the X80 Pro Max.

The Honor Turbo 5G is a budget 5G smartphone for customers who care about battery life and everyday durability, with a big battery, vibrant AMOLED display, tough build, and rapid charging.
