Government Extends Passport Office Hours Across Pakistan

The Pakistani government has extended the working hours of eight regional passport offices to make passport services easier and more convenient for citizens.

Under the directive of Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, the selected passport offices will now operate in two shifts from 8:00 am to 12am.

The extended working hours will be available at passport offices in Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Multan, Bahawalpur, Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Hyderabad, and Quetta.

Officials said the move will provide consumers greater flexibility when applying for passports and other associated services. It is also expected to help cut congestion and waiting times at passport offices.

The government said the move is part of its attempts to improve public services and make passport facilities available outside typical office hours.

With the revised timetable, citizens who cannot attend passport offices during regular business hours will have more time to obtain the services.
