As the deadline for filing tax returns approaches, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has recognised that taxpayers are facing irregular issues with its IRIS system.
The tax authorities stated in a statement posted on X that its technical experts are trying to fix the issues. The faults will be fixed, and the site will be fully restored, and taxpayers will be informed, FBR said.
The FBR stated it is cognisant of the impending filing deadline and acknowledges the relevance of the IRIS portal for the taxpayers who need to file their returns.
The tax office also apologised for the inconvenience caused by the continued technical challenges and informed the taxpayers that efforts are underway to restore normal portal operations.
