A district and sessions court in Karachi has acquitted Pinky, booked in a narcotics trafficking case reported at Gizri Police Station.
The Additional District and Sessions Court (South) approved Pinky’s request for acquittal after hearing arguments from the defence and perusing the case record.
Her counsel during proceedings told the court that two co-accused, Ali and Fahmeeda, had already been acquitted in the same case in 2024. The defence additionally submitted that Pinky was implicated in the case on the basis of statements made by the co-accused only.
On evaluating the reasons and considering the evidence on record, the court accepted the plea of acquittal and acquitted Pinky of the charges.
The case was first registered at the Gizri police station. In the latest verdict, all three suspects named in the case have been acquitted.
