Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) on Thursday announced planned power outages in different parts of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Chakwal and other districts.
IESCO spokeswoman says the outages are being carried out to allow maintenance and routine development activities.
In Islamabad Circle, electricity would stay suspended from 8 a.m. to 12 noon from the Pir Sohawa feeder.
Power supply would be halted from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. from Basali, Old Rawat, AOWHS, Suparco and CWO feeders in Rawalpindi Cantt Circle. Jhelum Circle will also have a power cut from 6 am to 10 am on Industrial, Chamala, City Housing, Sanghoi, Safdar Shaheed, Nathwala, F-2 (Chip Board), Langar Pur, Pakhwal and F-10 (Kala Base) feeders.
In Chakwal Circle, electricity supplies from Jamal Wal and Mengan feeders will be halted from 6 a.m until noon.
Meanwhile, in the GSO Circle, power delivery at the 132KV GSS Rawat-II power transformer T-1 would be halted from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. IESCO has also planned interruptions from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 132KV AWC HMC Taxila and 132KV Sangjani-Burhan.
The power supply will also be shut off from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 132KV Kahuta City-Palandri and 132KV New Wah-Bahtermore, including the connected earth switch and the nearby surroundings.
Consumers in the affected areas have been advised to make arrangements and take necessary measures during the scheduled outage periods, said an IESCO spokesman.
