Apple’s next cheap iPhone may get a minor but important memory boost The iPhone 18e will include 9GB of RAM, up from the 8GB RAM predicted with the iPhone 17e, new sources suggest ahead of its March 2027 introduction.
The latest revelation also backs up an earlier leak from last month that said Apple planned to put 9GB of RAM in the iPhone 18e.
That extra 1GB of RAM might seem like a small investment, but it could boost multitasking performance and give better support for advanced AI functions. Apple has been increasing the amount of RAM in its iPhone series, as it continues to add Apple Intelligence and other on-device AI features.
iPhone 17e is rumoured to come with 8GB RAM. That’s set to get a bump to 9GB with the iPhone 18e, if the latest reports are to be believed, with a launch planned by March 2027.
Apple has yet to officially announce any specs for the iPhone 18e. But with other sources now pointing to the identical RAM upgrade, the allegation is looking more credible.
