Punjab Plans AI Education for Special Children

Punjab government will implement artificial intelligence (AI) education for students with special needs to make their education in line with the needs of modern technology.

Provincial Special Education Secretary Shoaib Iqbal said the provincial administration was making efforts to provide special children with learning opportunities that would be suitable for the changing world of today. As part of the plan, teachers will be trained in special education institutes to assist the pupils successfully.

Technology would play a vital part in enhancing the learning experience of unique youngsters, Iqbal said. The new education system will employ innovative educational strategies that are based on the individual abilities and learning needs of students.

The government also aims to include sports and other activities in the educational process. The goal of these activities is to contribute to the academic advancement and mental development of exceptional children.

It is also part of Punjab’s bigger efforts to introduce AI education across its educational system. The provincial administration is also planning to introduce AI as a subject for pupils from Class 1 to Class 12, and build up dedicated laboratories to help implement the new curriculum.
