Sindh Police Opens 139 ASI Jobs

Sindh Police has issued a notification for the recruitment of 139 new posts of Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) in BPS-11 in the Shaheed, Deceased, and Permanently Invalidated or Incapacitated Quota.

The recruitment is only for the eligible legal heirs of Sindh Police employees who fall within these categories. These posts are not available to candidates applying on the general or open merit.

The department’s most recent recruitment notice is a supplement to adverts that first appeared on April 28, 2024. The earlier recruitment process was delayed in view of the Supreme Court judgment and has now been resumed as per the applicable government notification.

Who is Eligible for Sindh Police ASI Jobs?

Only eligible legal heirs under the given quota are entitled to apply.

Legal heirs of Sindh Police workers who have died or become permanently invalidated or crippled may apply if the employee died or became permanently invalidated or incapacitated on or before September 26, 2024. Applicants must be domicile of Sindh and must fulfill all other eligibility criteria.

In case of the Shaheed category, application can be made by legal heirs if the police personnel is martyred by the closing date indicated in the advertisement. The applicants must also have domicile of the concerned region of Sindh Police.

All the applications shall be evaluated as per the Shaheed, Deceased and Permanently Invalidated or Incapacitated Quota Recruitment Rules, 2021.

Sindh Police would give preference to the candidates of the Shaheed category, then Deceased and Permanently Incapacitated categories.

ASI Vacancies (As per Sectors)

The quota for the recruitment of 139 ASI posts has been allocated across four Sindh Police ranges.

Educational Qualification

Graduation Degree with at least Second Division from a recognised University.

The Sindh Police has announced that the required educational level and other eligibility standards would not be relaxed. Candidates who do not fulfill the stipulated conditions need not apply.

Age Restriction

The age of applicants should be between 21 and 28 years old on the closing date for the online application procedure.

For this recruiting the age will be considered as of October 15, 2026. No relaxation has been authorised in the upper age restriction by the department. Physical Requirements of Male Candidates

Male applicants shall meet the following physical standards:

  • Minimum height: 5 ft 5 in
  • Chest min: 33 inches
  • Chest expansion: 1 1/2 inches

The prescribed physical standards will remain without any reduction.

Physical Standards for Women Candidates

The qualifications for female applicants are:

  • Height min: 5 feet
  • Must be in good health

The advertisement does not relax the physical standards laid down.

Test of physical stamina

Male contestants have to sprint 1,600 meters in eight minutes.

The female candidates need to do an 800-metre walk in 14 minutes.

SIBA Testing Services will call only those applicants who qualify in the physical test for the writing examination.

Fee for Application

The candidates have to pay a non-refundable processing fee of Rs. 1,500.

After submitting the online application, candidates can download the system-generated challan and deposit the fee at any Allied Bank Limited branch or using the myABL app.

The fee may also be paid using the1Bill reference number through the online banking services of the banks connected to the 1Bill system.

Necessary Documents

Applicants should attach papers to support their eligibility and quota claim. These may include

  • Front and rear of CNIC
  • Domicile of Sindh
  • Form-D or Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC)
  • Photo taken recently
  • Academic Certificates and Documents;
  • Death certificate of deceased / Shaheed employee
  • Heirship certificate, death certificate
  • Incapacity order or permanent invalidity order, as the case may be
  • Shaheed Declaration, if appropriate
  • FIR for Shaheed category
  • Order for financial compensation in Shaheed category
  • Affidavit of spouse, widow or other legal heirs

All documents supplied by the candidates should be clear, correct, and full. Sindh Police will verify original documents at the time of testing/interviews of candidates.

False information or improper documentation might result in disqualification. The department can also rescind the appointment if it is found after recruitment that inaccurate or misleading information has been given.

Application Process for Sindh Police ASI Jobs

Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria should apply online using the SIBA Testing Services (STS) candidate portal.

Candidates need to make an account or log in to their current account, find the Sindh Police ASI recruitment ad, and fill out the application form.

Candidates should fill in correct information regarding personal, educational, domicile, and quota details before submitting the needed papers.

After filling the application form, the applicants shall take a printout of the Rs. 1,500 processing fee challan and deposit the same using any of the permitted modes of payment.

Candidates are advised to read all the information carefully before applying. They also need to save their application details and payment confirmation for future use.

Sindh Police will not accept applications filed by hand, courier, or any other means other than the prescribed STS web platform. Selection Procedure

Physical and Written examinations will be conducted by SIBA Testing Services as part of the recruitment process.

Those candidates who qualify in the physical test will be eligible for the written examination. Dates, sites, and timings of tests will be notified through the STS website, candidate portal, and SMS notifications.

The applicants should visit the STS portal often to verify roll number slips, examination schedule, results and other updates on recruitment.

The final appointments will be made following verification of eligibility, documentation, and quota claimed by the candidates and their performance in the relevant selection stages.
